Despite the fact that aviation fuel prices continues soaring and economic uncertainty is rising that can get tougher for this competitive industry – with low margins and high costs. Turkish Airlines has not only managed with considerable aplomb to maintain its position but has also been profitable from the outset in 2010 and now in third quarter 2011 consolidated financial statements have been reported to Istanbul Stock Exchange. For the period, Turkish Airlines registered a successful result and recorded an operating profit of 510 million TL. Along with the third quarter results, operating profit for the first nine months is now 244 million TL.. It has also steered clear of those crisis and to continue with its successful international operations while winning their customers confidence. Turkish Airlines aim to create a level of quality and provide exacting attention to detail that exceeds customer’s expectations, no matter which travel class they are flying.

- 737-800 represents Boeing’s commitment to continuous improvement

- Airplanes to feature new Boeing Sky Interior

SEATTLE, Boeing (NYSE: BA) and International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC), a wholly owned subsidiary of American International Group, Inc., have finalized a firm order for 33 Next-Generation 737-800s. The order, with a list-price value of more than $2.6 billion, is part of the company’s initiative to modernize its fleet and increase the balance in its airplane portfolio.

“This 737 order will provide ILFC’s airline customers with advanced, highly competitive airplanes that deliver the best reliability, superior operating economics and increased passenger comfort,” said Marlin Dailey, vice president of Sales & Marketing for Boeing Commercial Airplanes. “These airplanes deliver the continuous improvements we are making to the Next-Generation 737. ”

Today’s operators fly 737s that are 5 percent more fuel efficient than the first Next-Generation 737s delivered in 1998 and additional improvements are on the way. Boeing’s performance improvement package, now in certification, will boost fuel efficiency a further two percent through aerodynamic and engine changes. The performance improvements to the airframe and engine are expected to be in service between mid-2011 and early 2012.

Additionally, Boeing will deliver ILFC’s new Next-Generation 737-800s with the all-new 737 Boeing Sky Interior. The new interior introduces cove lighting and curving architecture that create a distinctive entryway. Passengers will enjoy a more open cabin and a soft blue sky overhead simulated by light-emitting diode (LED) lighting. The new interior also features modern, sculpted sidewalls and window reveals to draw passengers’ eyes to the view outside the window, as well as larger stowage bins allowing passengers the ability to store their luggage closer to their seats.

“Our 737 airplanes are the best sellers in their class,” Dailey said. “This ILFC order is a reflection of our performance improvement initiatives and our goal to offer the best product in every segment we serve.”

Famous for its extremely efficient operation, high dispatch reliability and leading performance on coast-to-coast flights, the 737-800 remains the airplane of choice for customers wanting to take advantage of new opportunities in the market.

MOSCOW, – Boeing (NYSE: BA) and Aeroflot Russian Airlines today announced an order for six Boeing 777-300ERs (extended range) and two Boeing 777-200ERs. The order was previously attributed to an unidentified customer on Boeing’s Orders and Deliveries website.

“These Boeing 777 airplanes will strengthen our network strategy, particularly the international growth opportunities we expect from our joint businesses with SkyTeam partners when servicing the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games and the 2018 FIFA World Cup,” said Vitaly Saveliev, general director of Aeroflot Russian Airlines. “We value the combination of size, range and performance of the 777 airplanes, as well as the extensive customer amenities they offer. The seating capability of the aircraft will give us growth flexibility in slot-constrained airports and provide us with greater ability to serve new long-haul markets.”

“Aeroflot is one of the world’s most innovative and fastest growing airlines,” said Jim Albaugh, president and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes. “The 777 has the payload-range capability, economic efficiency and passenger comfort to support Aeroflot in achieving its ambitious goals for growth, profitability and world-class service. We thank Aeroflot for this important order.”

The Boeing 777 is the world’s most successful twin-engine, long-haul airplane, distinguished by its fuel-efficiency, spacious cabin interior, range capability, commonality and reliability. Featuring wider seats, wider aisles, more headroom and more seating, the Boeing 777 Signature Interior is passenger-preferred. The 777 delivers exceptional value to the airlines that fly it and is consistently ranked at the top of operator and investor polls.

Russia is an important supplier for the Boeing 777 family. VSMPO, subsidiary of Rostechnologii State Corporation, manufactures large titanium forgings for landing gears, wings and pylon of the 777 jetliner. Russian engineers at the Moscow Boeing Design Center and IT experts from Russian software companies actively participated in designing the 777-300ER airplanes.

Aeroflot is a member of SkyTeam, the global airline alliance. To date, seven out of 12 SkyTeam members have ordered a total of 141 777s. Aeroflot’s overall flight network comprises 898 locations in 169 countries. In 2010, 11.3 million passengers used Aeroflot’s services and about 13 million used the services offered by the Aeroflot group.

EVERETT, Wash., — Boeing (NYSE: BA) successfully completed the first engine runs for the 747-8 Intercontinental today. The milestone marks a key step in preparing Boeing’s largest-ever passenger jet for flight test.

“The integrated airplane systems and engines performed as expected,” said Elizabeth Lund, vice president and deputy program manager of the 747 program.. “This result allows us to continue moving forward to first flight.”

Engine runs began at 11:57 a.m. (PST) Tuesday and lasted approximately two hours and 45 minutes. During initial engine runs, the engines are started and operated at various power settings to ensure all systems perform as expected. The engine run test began with the Auxiliary Power System providing power to start the first of four GE GEnx-2B engines. The remaining three engines were started using the cross-bleed function.

Basic systems checks continued throughout the test. The engines were powered down and inspected and will be restarted following a technical review. The team completed a vibration check and monitored the shutdown logic to ensure it functioned as expected.

The GEnx-2B engine is optimized for the 747-8. The new engine contributes to a reduction in fuel burn, emissions and noise, which gives customers the lowest operating costs and best economics of any large passenger airplane while providing enhanced environmental performance.
